I’ve always thought that a Lotus Europa would be fun to drive in the snow. One could let the tail hang out a little, play with the throttle and… basically have a good time?
I finally got the opportunity as my Lotus will likely be the only vehicle I have starting tomorrow. It’s been snowing here and my Ford F150 truck with almost bald rear tires is totally useless. Our other vehicle, a Subaru Forester is heading off island with my wife. Lotus time it is.
How did it go? Actually very well. Except for the problem of only a few inches of ground clearance the Lotus handles beautifully and did exactly what I wanted. These are definitely 4 season cars and work well as snow plows.
